- We are giving you some useful advice on what you can do to help your pets during this time:
- Don’t walk them during evening hours, when there is a high possibility of fireworks and firecrackers;
- Draw the blinds and curtains so you can muffle the lights and the sounds;
- Create a quiet, isolated space for your pet, where it can hide and feel safe;
- Make sure that all your doors are closed, so that your pet can’t escape if there is a sudden noise;
- Depending on your pet, sooth your pet by caressing or give your pet a space to find it’s comfort;
- Distract your pet with a toy or his favorite game, or even food.
Remember, if your pet has a really strong reaction to this loud noises and lights, you should definitely consult with a vet and follow his instructions.
