- Shopping for your cat
Before bringing your new cat home, you need to do some shopping to prepare yourself. Buy a litter box and sand and place it at an appropriate place. Don’t forget to buy cat food and water and food bowls. Also, buy some toys for your cat, treats and a cat tree.
- Create a space for your cat
Make sure to buy a comfortable bed for your cat and create a safe little space just for your cat. This will be the place where your cat can relax and retreat after a full day of having fun.
- Take your cat to the vet
You should take your cat to the vet for a regular checkup and possibly vaccination and just to see the health condition of your cat.
- Routine
You should establish a routine for your cat, like feeding time, playing and bed time. Cats can be nocturnal, so it is important to establish this routine, so that your cat doesn’t wake you up in the middle of the night, playful.
The most important thing you can do for your adopted cat is to show her love and to give her space so she can get accustomed to you and your family and to her new home.
